Senior Program Specialist Remote (Newark, New Jersey) with occasional travel to client site Job Description To support our growth, ICF is seeking an Senior Program Specialist to support launching and implementing a Battery Energy Storage System pilot program. Working closely with the senior portfolio managers and SME advisors, this individual will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the successful delivery of operations across multiple functional areas, including internal operations, client support, and stakeholder management. While the position is remote, local business travel may be required. What you will be doing: - Managing a utility load management customer pilot program, responsible for overall program success including on-time and on-budget program delivery, deliverable quality, and client satisfaction. - Collaborating with a multi-functional project team. - Coordinate internal projects, including portfolio reviews and status updates with internal and client program leads. - Managing performance of an installation contractor network. - Delivering effective communication through technical assistance, program training, and guidance. - Overseeing program performance, including financial management, contract deliverables, strategic planning, quality assurance, and operational efficiencies. - Maintaining ongoing communications with clients for program status updates, pipeline management, and stakeholder feedback. - Preparing and presenting targeted client and participant presentations to promote program awareness and participation at events. - Analyzing market trends and technologies to enhance deployment opportunities and increase participation in client utility programs. What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree in (Business Admin, Energy, Environmental Studies, Policy, or related field) and 5+ years of experience developing, designing, and managing successful energy efficiency or load management programs OR High School Diploma and 9+ years of energy-related program management experience. What we would like you to have: - Energy-related project and/or program implementation experience. - Demonstrated experience with business and client development with concentration in new opportunity pursuit and capture. - Demonstrated understanding of load management; specifically battery energy storage systems and/or other distributed energy resources (DERs), understanding of demand response, and understanding of distributed energy resource management systems (DERMS) - Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement in quality assurance/control theories, techniques, and application. - Firm understanding of procurement best practices and contract administration. - Ability to take direction and work independently towards final results - Flexibility and adaptability to respond to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles - Industry certifications, professional affiliations, and publications. - Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel). - Proficiency in developing and/or implementing data collection, tracking, and reporting processes - Hold a project management certification, including but not limited to; PMP, Six-Sigma, Scrum Master, etc. Professional Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. - Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail. - Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information. - Ability to work with all levels of internal employees, as well as outside clients and vendors. - Able to effectively lead and work with a variety of team members. - Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude. - Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). - Strong adaptability and project prioritization skills Working at ICF ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we’re not your typical consultants.
