Job Description

Project Accountant I

Dudek

• Be a resource and assist Project Managers in maintaining the life cycle of the project from the notice of award to the final closeout • Set up projects, extra work orders, transfers, or other amendments according to contract terms in Deltek Vision • Assist with the creation and processing contracts • Review contracts for accounting specific requirements and ensure timely completion of all specialized client billing needs • Review project labor and expenses to ensure accurate posting to projects • Follow through on all billing related issues to resolution • Work closely with Project Managers and Directors to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and project billing • Invoice clients monthly • Respond to client, vendor, or staff inquiries in a timely fashion • Prepare accounts receivable statements and follow up on past due invoices • Handle project audits as they arise • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • College degree in Accounting or Finance and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience; or 3 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and excellent follow through
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Highly motivated to progress to the next level
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed
  • Excellent customer service skills: ability to effectively engage and communicate with different personality types
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment
