Do you have a communication style that can interact with all levels of the organization? Then we are looking for you! We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team. This position is 100% remote with the option of working in one of our local offices, if desired. Duties and Responsibilities - Be a resource and assist Project Managers in maintaining the life cycle of the project from the notice of award to the final closeout - Set up projects, extra work orders, transfers, or other amendments according to contract terms in Deltek Vision - Assist with the creation and processing contracts - Review contracts for accounting specific requirements and ensure timely completion of all specialized client billing needs - Review project labor and expenses to ensure accurate posting to projects - Follow through on all billing related issues to resolution - Work closely with Project Managers and Directors to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and project billing - Invoice clients monthly - Respond to client, vendor, or staff inquiries in a timely fashion - Prepare accounts receivable statements and follow up on past due invoices - Handle project audits as they arise - Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications - College degree in Accounting or Finance and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience; or 3 to 4 years of relevant experience - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Well organized, detail-oriented, and excellent follow through - Ability to think critically and problem solve - Highly motivated to progress to the next level - Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed - Excellent customer service skills: ability to effectively engage and communicate with different personality types - Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook - Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment - Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment Preferred Qualifications - Deltek Vision experience a plus - Ability to work overtime as needed Compensation: $27-$32 hourly* *Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.
