Senior Director, Platforms & Venue Development

• Implement the business development vision for payments platforms and, tailored to NA market needs and regulatory frameworks • Monitor and respond to trends in payments platforms and venues across key NA markets • Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities across payment platform models, venues/universities in NA; ensure effective lead generation, qualification, and conversion • Identify, evaluate, and support integration of Paysafe assets (across all payment platforms) relevant to North America • Drive adoption and market share growth in the North American payments sector, considering local payment preferences and compliance requirements • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for acquiring and expanding relationships with venues (sports, entertainment, conference centers) and universities across North America • Lead negotiations and support the sales team in securing key accounts, ensuring compliance with North American data protection (such as CCPA in California, PIPEDA in Canada) and procurement standards • Oversee deployment of wallet, e-cash and acquiring solutions, collaborating with local teams and adapting to the diverse cultures and business practices found across North America • Partner with American cash distribution networks to increase adoption of cash products and introduce additional offerings as they are launched • Continuously monitor American market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and anticipate risks • Cultivate and maintain strategic alliances, joint ventures, and partnerships that enhance the company’s presence in target American markets • Serve as a primary contact for key American clients, partners, and stakeholders • Represent the company at industry events and conferences across North America • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to launch new offerings tailored to American payments platform models, venues, and university clients • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with American legal and regulatory standards • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track progress against KPIs for payment platforms, venue, and university business development in North America • Set a clear vision and inspire teams to achieve ambitious growth targets across American markets • Translate company strategy into actionable business development plans, ensuring alignment with regional objectives • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing, diverse, and cross-functional teams across North America.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Educational degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred) or experience in lieu of education
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development or strategic partnerships, with significant leadership in payments platform models and/or venue/university sales in North America
- Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing complex deals with companies in the mentioned payment platform models, venues, or higher education, preferably within American markets
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
- Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing, cross-functional teams across multiple locations
- Solid understanding of payments technology, venue management, and university procurement processes in North America
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a record of driving innovation and business transformation
- Ability to travel as required
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience with global business development and multicultural teams is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of CRM, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
