Role Description The Data Analyst plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Partner with business stakeholders and other analysts to understand business data needs, capture data requirements, and perform data transformation, integration, and storage. Provide inputs for complex data architecture and perform ELT on large data sets to support departmental and organizational objectives. Advanced skill set and proficiency with data transformation practices, query languages, script languages, ELT/ETL pipelines and analysis techniques. - Develop and maintain data pipelines, workflows, and APIs. - Document data assets and map data flows across systems to support transparency, traceability, and compliance. - Define, describe, organize, and categorize data sets to support efficient access and understanding across the organization. - Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform operational improvements and strategic initiatives. - Design, build, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau. - Translate business needs into data requirements and reporting specifications. - Partner with business units to identify KPIs and develop visualizations that support operational and strategic goals. - Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms. - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights that inform product, member, and market strategies. - Maintain documentation and metadata for reports and dashboards. - Maintain and regularly update the enterprise data dictionary and a centralized index of reports and dashboards to ensure transparency and accessibility. - Contribute to data literacy efforts by supporting training and enablement programs. - Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and documentation to help business users effectively use BI tools. - Provide ongoing support and guidance to users on interpreting dashboards and reports. - Promote self-service analytics and foster a data-driven culture across departments. - Identify and compile data sets using a variety of transformation tools to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business-to-business outcomes. - Analyze and resolve complex data quality issues, utilizing advanced data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring techniques to maintain data integrity and reliability. - Clean and organize raw data and generate data tables in support of business intelligence and data science projects. - Build working relationships with team members and subject matter experts. Qualifications - Extensive experience with Reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or SQL Reports. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). - Familiarity with Symitar and its related technologies such as PowerOn, SymXchange, OpCon, and ARCU. This is a key differentiator for this role. - Desirable experience with SharePoint for collaborative products and workflows. SWBC is seeking a talented individual to perform in-line quality control by reviewing, researching, and verifying all insurance updates and payments on escrow loans. This role interprets, sorts, and verifies accuracy of pertinent insurance data. This role makes necessary outbound calls and/or researching insurance carrier websites to verify and update insurance coverage and enters, edits, or modifies pertinent insurance and escrow payment data into AS400, LPS, Citrix, and FiServ database systems. Essential duties include the following: - Validates and/or corrects insurance updates and escrow disbursement information by reviewing the Billing Edit Report for all daily escrow accounts to ensure entries are accurately, completely, and adhering to department procedures. - Resolves escrow disbursement discrepancies by researching the loan and making an outbound call to the insurance agency/company to obtain required information. - Disburses insurance premium payments manually for all FiServ and WebServices clients. - Makes necessary adjustments to insurance lines based on data found on reports, documents, or notes on AS400 history. - Reviews Exception Report for discrepancies and update AS400, FiServ, or WebServices as needed to ensure the client is receiving updated and current information. - Reviews the At-or-Near Expired Report to ensure all call attempts have been made and escrow payment information has been obtained to ensure payment is processed timely. - Reviews the Follow-up Database and Reconciliation Database to ensure the loan is processed correctly to include, but not limited to, researching, making additional outbound call attempts, obtaining payment information, contacting the client, opening a task on FiServ or WebServices, contacting the client for additional information, and the like. - Maintains the service level objectives for all task/CIT received from clients to include opening, researching, and closing of each task/CIT request. - Processes Escrow Rush payment requests received by email or WebServices Task function. - Provides follow-up on every escrow loan that received a cancellation notice for non-payment or with an unknown cancellation reason listed. - Assists with keying escrow exceptions as needed. - Performs time-sensitive account maintenance before and after account processing cycles. - Enters updates to the pertinent insurance data into the computer system in a timely manner ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to department procedures. - Performs data processing/customer service functions in support of the SWBC Escrow Tracking Program with the highest degree of accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
