Job Description: Field Service Technician Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join its world- class team. Location: Remote Field Office (Remote employee) Role and Responsibilities: - Provide fuel cell service during field visit dispatches - Operate a service vehicle safely - Create daily workflows for oneself from a list of scheduled tasks (regularly assigned to work autonomously) - Manage on-site preventative maintenance, repair, test, and diagnostic tasks - Follow company procedures and protocols - Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine/implement proper solutions - Cooperate with a technical team and share information across the organization - Comprehend and follow customer access requirements - Maintain service vehicle and spare part inventory - Maintain/build positive relationships with customers - Produce timely and detailed service reports as required - Other responsibilities as assigned - Required to reside within the Service District - Training: Two initial training sessions of up to four weeks each in Sunnyvale, CA Education and Experience: The following MINIMUM levels of experience and or education are required: - High school diploma & 6 years’ experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields; - Or – - Technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, Electrician Certification in a technical field and relevant industry experience of 4 years (electrician, electronics technician, field service, technician, test engineer, etc.) - Or – - 5 years or more relevant experience in commercial electrical, combined with electrical-related military experience (eg. Navy Nuclear Electronics/Electrical Technician, or other technical position, military certified electrician or technician, Gas Turbine Electrician) Skills and Experience: - Strong electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic skills required - Familiar with safety standards, especially those related to electrical work (OSHA & NFPA 70E) - Prior experience as an electrician or electrical technician working with any of the following technologies: three-phase systems, uninterruptible power supplies, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, automatic transfer switches, and microprocessor based control platforms - Experience with various electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment - Able to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams and blueprints - Experience with performing equipment maintenance in accordance with ANSI/NETA standards for Electrical Power - Mechanical system aptitude, to include troubleshooting/repair skills - Highly motivated and able to work autonomously - Demonstrates sound judgment in the resolution of complex problems - Team player who exhibits a high level of integrity and professionalism - Communicates written and verbal English effectively - Able to execute against written and verbal procedures and sequenced work instructions - Able to regularly handle equipment up to 50lbs., occasionally may lift up to 70 lbs. - Able to reach, squat, bend, and twist during the work day - Able to use a ladder or stepstool regularly - Able to facilitate 24X7 on-call duty - Able to facilitate shift work as needed - Able to regularly work alternative schedules (one week/month of Wednesday-Sunday, for example) - Able to regularly support overtime to achieve quarterly goals - Able to regularly travel (drive) throughout a large Service District (e.g. “Southern California District”) - Able to travel occasionally to other US and international destinations - Able to maintain a driving record in good standing

• Perform a wide variety of tasks associated with servicing, repairing or operation of most CNC machine tools. • Use precision test equipment to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems. • Advanced operation of CNC controls from different manufacturers. • Successfully coordinate and complete the installation of all machine tools. • Work closely with customers, vendors, OEM’s, and other KRC personnel. • Independently organize and complete a successful service call. • Assist other service engineers, and preventive maintenance technicians. • General scraping and fitting of machine tool components (not mandatory but improves your value). • Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuitry to component level. • Perform a variety of advanced specialized machine tool repair processes. • Dismantle and prepare machines for shipment. • Level and alignment of machines. • Troubleshoot and repair major machine tool problems. • Disassemble, repair, and rebuild machine tool sub-assemblies and assemblies. • Organize, tag, and mark components for future assembly. • Identify, repair, or replace damaged components. • First-time power-up and troubleshooting of machines. • Servo system tuning. • Report activities and expenses timely and accurately. • Train other employees for advancement. • Train customers on the operation of CNC control systems. • Advanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuitry. • Communicate with customers, vendors, OEM, and KRC personnel. • Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized. • Travel to customers’ facilities often and on short notice. • Work with minimal supervision. • Other duties as assigned.

• Required to supervise field work onsite focusing on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. • Support lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250’. • Required to coach/conduct team members on rigging applications/inspections. • Coach/conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems. • Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment. • Coach/train personnel on how to perform proper isolation of electrical components (LOTO). • Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers. • Will be required to have the ability to recognize MAJOR faults and develop corrective actions with engineering team.
