Advanced Field Service Engineer – Turbo Controls Systems

Honeywell

• Provide advanced technical support in Industrial Automation, specifically compressor controls and troubleshoot complex issues. • Ensure implementation solutions, and drive customer satisfaction. • Tasked with supporting customers on-site in the local Houston area. • Travel to other locations in North America and International travel may be required. • Provide technical expertise and consultancy at customer sites to commission, troubleshoot, engineer, operate, configure and optimize Compressor Control Corporation products and systems. • Advise customers on specific, appropriate product usage.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of previous relevant work experience, ideally with turbo machinery control systems (Compressors, Steam / Gas Turbines, Expanders, Generators) or process control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Able and willing to travel internationally, including offshore and remote locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year college or university required (mechanical, electrical, turbomachinery).
  • Solid experience with PLC, DCS and other types of control systems.
  • Spanish language proficiency (spoken and written) is a plus.

Location: Remote Field Office (Remote employee) Role and Responsibilities: - Provide fuel cell service during field visit dispatches - Operate a service vehicle safely - Create daily workflows for oneself from a list of scheduled tasks (regularly assigned to work autonomously) - Manage on-site preventative maintenance, repair, test, and diagnostic tasks - Follow company procedures and protocols - Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine/implement proper solutions - Cooperate with a technical team and share information across the organization - Comprehend and follow customer access requirements - Maintain service vehicle and spare part inventory - Maintain/build positive relationships with customers - Produce timely and detailed service reports as required - Other responsibilities as assigned - Required to reside within the Service District - Training: Two initial training sessions of up to four weeks each in Sunnyvale, CA Education and Experience: The following MINIMUM levels of experience and or education are required: - High school diploma & 6 years’ experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields; - Or – - Technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, Electrician Certification in a technical field and relevant industry experience of 4 years (electrician, electronics technician, field service, technician, test engineer, etc.) - Or – - 5 years or more relevant experience in commercial electrical, combined with electrical-related military experience (eg.
