Role Description Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join its world-class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies. Location: Remote Field Office (Remote employee) Role and Responsibilities: - Facilitate Bloom Energy fuel cell systems maintenance and site maintenance. - Facilitate the safety observer role as needed. - Assist in 2 person required evolutions as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - High school diploma & 12 years’ experience in electrical field. - Or Technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, Electrician Certification in a technical field and relevant industry experience of 10 years (electrician, electronics technician, field service, technician, test engineer, etc.). - Or 10 years electrical related military experience (e.g., Navy Nuclear Electronics/Electrical Technician, Naval Electrician, Gas Turbine Electrician) and 6 years of relevant commercial electrical experience. Requirements - Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting/repair skills; understanding of mechanical systems, piping, plumbing, and valve operation preferred. - Electrical experience required, troubleshooting & repair skills necessary. - Prior experience as an electrician in any of the following: 3-phase systems, UPS (back-up power) systems, maintenance, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, Automatic Transfer Switch Systems, and microprocessor-based control platforms is highly beneficial. - Experience with various test and measurement equipment, electrical codes, and personnel safety products and procedures. - Must be able to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams and blueprints. - Experience with performing equipment maintenance in accordance with ANSI/NETA standard for Electrical Power. - Experience with monitoring/operating systems in operation. - Basic understanding of requirements of working safely. - Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations. - Highly motivated and able to work independently. - Demonstrates sound judgment. - A team player who exhibits a high level of integrity and professionalism in all situations. - Able to communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal form to facilitate duties as required. - Able to follow procedures and execute sequenced work instructions from either written and verbal communications. - Ability to lift 45-50lbs. - Able to facilitate 24x7 operations as needed. - Able to facilitate On Call Duty as needed. - Able to facilitate shift work as needed. - Able to travel as needed. - Travel durations of up to 8 weeks in one travel session.

Essential responsibilities - Proactively promote and position Bloom technologies early in the project phase to create value and influence by working closely with consultants, developers, EPC's, Industry OEM partners and customers - Provide technical expertise to Sales and Commercial operations team in selecting, implementing and developing competitive product applications - Estimate Bloom and competitive equipment, system performance and hardware evaluation throughout the bid process. Collect Voice of Customer (VoC) and Voice of Market (VoM) on the value of bloom solutions and support new product introduction activities - Influence customers to understand and recognize the full economic value that Bloom solutions provide. Understand Energy/Power market structures, pricing mechanisms and policy that impact the customer value proposition. - Develop region and segment specific collateral to sell the value of our offerings to the customers. Gather and analyze competitive feedback in the regions to improve our understanding of value differentiation in the eyes of our customers. - Lead a small team of Energy Transition Champions Qualifications and desired characteristics - Minimum Bachelors degree in an engineering field from an accredited university or college; Masters degree preferred. - Minimum 15 years of experience of power generation technology, i.e. Gas Turbines, reciprocating engines, Battery storage, wind and solar, in different roles and ability to articulate the value proposition to customers - Product Management experience preferred - Proven track record of winning big projects - Background in energy related technology and solutions. Location: Remote Field Office (Remote employee) Role and Responsibilities: - Provide fuel cell service during field visit dispatches - Operate a service vehicle safely - Create daily workflows for oneself from a list of scheduled tasks (regularly assigned to work autonomously) - Manage on-site preventative maintenance, repair, test, and diagnostic tasks - Follow company procedures and protocols - Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine/implement proper solutions - Cooperate with a technical team and share information across the organization - Comprehend and follow customer access requirements - Maintain service vehicle and spare part inventory - Maintain/build positive relationships with customers - Produce timely and detailed service reports as required - Other responsibilities as assigned - Required to reside within the Service District - Training: Two initial training sessions of up to four weeks each in Sunnyvale, CA Education and Experience: The following MINIMUM levels of experience and or education are required: - High school diploma & 6 years’ experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields; - Or – - Technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, Electrician Certification in a technical field and relevant industry experience of 4 years (electrician, electronics technician, field service, technician, test engineer, etc.) - Or – - 5 years or more relevant experience in commercial electrical, combined with electrical-related military experience (eg. Navy Nuclear Electronics/Electrical Technician, or other technical position, military certified electrician or technician, Gas Turbine Electrician) Skills and Experience: - Strong electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic skills required - Familiar with safety standards, especially those related to electrical work (OSHA & NFPA 70E) - Prior experience as an electrician or electrical technician working with any of the following technologies: three-phase systems, uninterruptible power supplies, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, automatic transfer switches, and microprocessor based control platforms - Experience with various electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment - Able to read and interpret electrical single line diagrams and blueprints - Experience with performing equipment maintenance in accordance with ANSI/NETA standards for Electrical Power - Mechanical system aptitude, to include troubleshooting/repair skills - Highly motivated and able to work autonomously - Demonstrates sound judgment in the resolution of complex problems - Team player who exhibits a high level of integrity and professionalism - Communicates written and verbal English effectively - Able to execute against written and verbal procedures and sequenced work instructions - Able to regularly handle equipment up to 50lbs., occasionally may lift up to 70 lbs. - Able to reach, squat, bend, and twist during the work day - Able to use a ladder or stepstool regularly - Able to facilitate 24X7 on-call duty - Able to facilitate shift work as needed - Able to regularly work alternative schedules (one week/month of Wednesday-Sunday, for example) - Able to regularly support overtime to achieve quarterly goals - Able to regularly travel (drive) throughout a large Service District (e.g. “Southern California District”) - Able to travel occasionally to other US and international destinations - Able to maintain a driving record in good standing #BEI2024 Salary Ranges: $26.81 - $38.59
