Director of Development

LINC

• Develop, implement, and integrate strategies to carry out LINC’s mission, vision, and goals of the Board of Directors • Oversee planning and operations of organization’s donor relations, marketing, and event planning departments to cultivate relationships, expand our network and increase donations • Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and best practice of similar non-profit organizations • Research donor prospects and strategies to expand our donor base in Ohio and on a national level • Work closely with the team to implement and maintain our stewardship program • Create a plan to optimize outreach and engagement • Oversee and coordinate Donor Relations Officers, Social Media contractor, Marketing Volunteers, and Event Planning Volunteers to efficiently and effectively solicit donations and thank donors/provide tax receipts • Assist with fundraising appeals • Strategize and review ROI of department activities, such as marketing efforts and fundraiser events • Develop and present report to Board of Directors quarterly • Assist with creation, implementation and review of marketing strategies • Assist with providing content for social media posts • Review and approve social media posts from third party contractor Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn • Review monthly platform analytics, track trends and suggest alterations to post content/themes when necessary to improve engagement • Work with team to create and schedule digital and printed newsletters, email campaigns, donor surveys, impact reports, promotional materials such as brochures and event flyers • Review analytics and adjust strategy to improve outcomes • Understand and optimize use of our CRM software • Create and maintain donation forms and email series in our CRM, with special attention to those linked with Events and our Child Sponsorship Program • Review reports of donor giving patterns to increase donor retention and engagement • Communicate with Web Developer to keep website content relevant and engaging, and to integrate campaign appropriate donation forms

Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of increasing experience in leadership/management roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing/Communications or equivalent role and responsibilities
  • Supervisory Experience in a layered organization
  • Understanding and execution of performance evaluations
  • Strategic view of an organization
  • Superior decision-making skills, analytical and creative thinking
  • Strong PC skills and ability to learn new software
