Role Description Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the activities within his craft according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Responsibilities include: - Coordinating with subcontractors - Performing quality control and safety checks - Providing on-site direction - Ensuring all OSHA guidelines are followed - Working with vendors to ensure the work meets all specifications Qualifications - 10-15 years of relevant experience - An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is an added benefit, but not required - Communicates well both verbally and in writing - Creates accurate and punctual reports - Delivers presentations and shares information and ideas with others - Good listening skills - Ability to identify, assimilate and comprehend critical elements of a situation - Effectiveness in planning and controlling work - Motivating and developing subordinates - Improving work methods and results - Attentive to detail and accuracy - Committed to excellence and continuous improvement - Ability to monitor construction schedules and advise on potential setbacks or issues - Communicates expectations and importance of safety - Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment Requirements - Manage a team of workers, including work schedule, project progress, and resource allocation - Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs - Collaborate with clients, Project Management, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline - Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers - Create schedules for workers and subcontractors - Maintain a daily log for the job site's operation - Make changes in the operation as necessary to meet construction deadlines - Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: - Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear - Regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch - Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs - Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision - Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions - May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibrations - Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud - Overtime and travel will be required Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities. Core Responsibilities - Maintaining cooling systems – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems. - Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment. - Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment. - Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services. - Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports. - Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements. Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
