• Installs, services, or performs difficult on-site repairs of mechanical, electrical, or electronic equipment • Provides technical engineering instruction and assistance to lower-level field service representatives regarding installation, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment at customer installations • Responds to requests for emergency or troublesome equipment repairs • Works under direction and from definite objectives, referring only unusual cases to a supervisor • May operate in the field, from home office or be assigned directly to a customer facility to provide constant technical support
