Role Overview In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and operate as a Principal Engineer across all engineering teams. This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role focused on improving engineering effectiveness, accelerating delivery, and ensuring technical excellence across the organization. You will not be embedded within a single team; instead, you will work across teams on the most critical initiatives, complex technical challenges, and architectural decisions. You will partner closely with Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Product, and DevOps to ensure we are building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality systems that support eDynamic Learning’s growth. Responsibilities - Provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple teams, focusing on high-impact initiatives and critical path work - Unblock complex technical challenges that span systems, teams, or domains - Lead and contribute to architecture and system design decisions, ensuring scalability, simplicity, and long-term maintainability - Conduct deep code reviews and set a high bar for engineering quality, performance, and reliability - Identify and prevent overengineering, promoting pragmatic and efficient solutions - Drive technical consistency and best practices across teams (design patterns, standards, tooling) - Partner with the Engineering Manager and Tech Leads to support delivery without taking on people management responsibilities - Contribute directly to code when needed, especially in high-risk or high-priority areas - Mentor and guide senior engineers and technical leads through coaching, design discussions, and knowledge sharing - Improve overall engineering effectiveness, including development workflows, system reliability, and scalability Ideal Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience - 15+ years of experience building and scaling full-stack applications - Proven experience operating at a staff or principal level, influencing multiple teams or large systems - Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, with broader experience in several languages and programming paradigms - Strong experience with React and modern front-end architectures - Strong background in system design, distributed systems, and API architecture - Experience working on complex, production-grade, high-scale systems - Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, cross-cutting technical problems - Experience driving technical strategy, standards, and architecture across teams - Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing strategies, and DevOps practices - Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Linux, and cloud-native architectures - Proficiency with SQL and relational database design - Legally eligible to work in Canada and/or the U.S Skills - Ability to operate as a force multiplier across teams, elevating overall engineering quality and speed - Strong architectural thinking with a focus on scalability, simplicity, and business impact - Exceptional problem-solving skills, especially for complex and ambiguous challenges - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority - Pragmatic mindset focused on delivering value, not overengineering - Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced, and evolving environment Salary Range CAD$180,000 - $220,000 DOE + Annual Bonus + Benefits

• Conduct discovery interviews with system engineers, reverse engineers, compiler developers, and other advanced users to understand their workflows and needs at the binary layer. • Translate technical capabilities and user pain points into a clear, defensible roadmap. • Continuously validate hypotheses and refine positioning through research and competitive analysis. • Track the reverse engineering and binary tooling landscape, including IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, and others, to inform strategy. • Define and evolve the go-to-market and monetization approach. • Communicate product progress, strategy, and results to JetBrains sponsors and internal stakeholders.

• Oversee solutioning, developing and maintaining systems that support the Engineering and Construction team • Evaluate, design, document, implement, test and performance for various systems • Work closely with internal IT business partners and 3rd Party Development teams to support the Business Operations team • Drive automation, process efficiency and customer service support • Support the IT Agile process with strong knowledge of JIRA; SQL, Dashboards, Kanban, queries etc. • Define, document, design, test and implement strategies to enhance & support Network Systems including Engineering, Service Delivery & Assurance, NOC and Field Operations • Balance priorities from complex cross functional teams while developing innovative system solutions to business challenges • Build technical guidelines used by Learning & Development for curriculum creation & training as well as end user self-serve consumption • Present program updates/status to leadership and stakeholders • Ability to prioritize system enhancements request

• Create SAS programs to generate derived analysis datasets and content for tables, listings, and figures • Perform programming validation to ensure quality of analysis datasets and programming outputs • Provides programming support for project teams, including development of programming strategies, standards, specifications, and programmed analysis • Support the electronic submission preparation and review • Reviews key planning documents (e.g., statistical analysis plan, data presentation plan, data review plan) to ensure alignment with development team objectives and clarity and completeness of programming assumptions and requirements • Assess impact on programming activities • Interacts with vendors regarding project standards, programming conventions, programming specifications and file transfers • Provides leadership for ensuring quality of deliverables by consistently applying standards and complying with regulatory requirements, guidance and corporate and departmental SOPs and work practices • Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and consistency within team and our interactions with strategic vendors • Independently leads and/or performs programming assignments with minimal supervision • Support improvement initiatives
