Job Description

Manager, Supply Chain Continuous Improvement

Babylist

Who We Are Babylist is the leading registry, e-commerce, and content platform for growing families. More than 9 million people shop with Babylist every year, making it the go-to destination for seamless purchasing, trusted guidance, and expert product recommendations for new parents and the people who love them. What began as a universal registry has grown into a full ecosystem for new parents, including the Babylist Shop, Babylist Health, and a flagship showroom in Los Angeles. Hundreds of brands in baby and beyond partner with Babylist to engage meaningfully with families during one of life’s most important transitions. With over $1 billion in annual GMV, and more than $500 million in 2024 revenue, Babylist is reshaping the $320 billion baby product industry. We’re helping parents feel confident, connected, and cared for at every step. As we build the generational brand in baby, our mission remains simple: to connect growing families with everything they need to thrive. To learn more, visit www.babylist.com. Our Ways of Working Babylist thrives as a remote-first company, with HQ team members located across the U.S. and Canada. We meet in person twice a year—once as a company and once by department to strengthen the relationships that power our work. We show up consistently, stay purpose-driven, leverage AI to amplify our impact, and achieve results—together, from anywhere. This hybrid role layers on additional travel: approximately 50% of your time will be spent at our Columbus, OH fulfillment center, with future travel to additional sites (potentially West Coast) as the network grows. Open nationwide, with Midwest or East Coast locations preferred for easier travel logistics. What the Role Is As Manager, Continuous Improvement, you’ll drive operational transformation across Babylist’s fulfillment and logistics network—starting with our flagship fulfillment center in Commercial Point, Ohio. This role sits on the Supply Chain Strategy team, focused not just on improving today’s operations but designing systems and processes that support 20–40%+ future volume growth as Babylist continues to scale. This is not a traditional CI role focused on incremental tweaks. You’re here to diagnose structural problems and redesign how work flows across inbound freight, warehouse operations, and outbound parcel shipping. Your time will split between on-site weeks at the fulfillment center and remote analytical work. During FC visits, you’ll walk the floor to observe pick/pack and receiving workflows, meet with warehouse leadership, and pressure-test process changes in real time. From home, you’ll dig into operational data in Excel and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Sigma), partner with Product and Engineering to embed improvements into Babylist’s internal systems, and build the roadmaps that connect what you saw on the floor to what gets built next. Who You Are - 5+ years improving warehouse operations, transportation, or fulfillment in high-volume DTC e-commerce—not retail distribution, 3PL management, or manufacturing - Direct experience on warehouse floors (inbound, outbound, returns, or transportation) in environments shipping thousands of orders daily—you’ve observed workflows firsthand, not just analyzed them from a desk - Proven track record of independently identifying problems, building a data-backed case, and driving improvements to completion without waiting for someone to hand you a project plan - Advanced Excel proficiency (large dataset analysis, pivot tables, operational modeling) plus hands-on experience building dashboards in PowerBI, Tableau, or Sigma - Experience with warehouse systems: WMS (HighJump preferred), TMS, OMS, and parcel shipping platforms - Demonstrated ability to partner with Product or Engineering teams to turn operational insights into technology-enabled solutions—you’ve shipped system improvements, not just recommended them - Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other CI methodologies—you can apply the principles whether or not you hold certifications - You build from scratch. If you need rigid playbooks and established processes to be effective, this isn’t the right fit. We’re a scale-up—you’ll create the playbook. - You earn trust across levels. You’re credible on the warehouse floor and persuasive in leadership conversations. If you default to either pure analytics or pure operations without bridging both, you’ll struggle here - You’re comfortable with ambiguity and travel. This is a hybrid, home-based role with ~50% travel to fulfillment centers and collaboration with distributed teams across supply chain, product, and engineering - You’re enthusiastic about working in an AI-forward environment where AI tools are part of daily operations. You embrace technology to enhance your work while keeping people at the center How You Will Make An Impact - Continuous improvement across inbound, fulfillment, and outbound—identifying bottlenecks, redesigning workflows, and implementing scalable solutions - Operational data analysis (receiving throughput, dwell times, pick productivity, parcel cost per order, delivery speed) to isolate root causes and prioritize by ROI - CI roadmaps built for where the business will be in a year, not just where it is today—designing for projected volume growth - Cross-functional partnership with Product, Engineering, and internal technology teams to translate operational needs into system enhancements across WMS, TMS, and internal tooling - Structured improvement projects end-to-end: problem definition, analysis, implementation, and performance measurement with measurable ROI - KPIs and performance dashboards that give leadership real operational visibility - Change management—driving adoption of new processes and tools with warehouse teams and cross-functional stakeholders - Input on broader supply chain strategy: warehouse network scaling, automation opportunities, and future infrastructure decisions Why You'll Love Working at Babylist Our Culture - We work with focus and intention, then step away to recharge - We believe in exceptional management and invest in tools and opportunities to connect with colleagues - We build products that positively impact millions of people's lives - AI is intentionally embedded in how we work, create, and scale—supporting innovation and impact Growth & Development - Competitive pay and meaningful opportunities for career advancement - We believe technology and data can solve hard problems - We're committed to career progression and performance-based advancement Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary with equity and bonus opportunities - Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance - Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts - Generous paid parental leave and PTO - Remote work stipend to set up your office - Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning About Compensation We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is: $120,350 to $144,420 Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity. Important NoticesInterview Process & Consent Babylist uses AI to record and transcribe all interviews for evaluation purposes in accordance with CCPA and GDPR. By participating in an interview, you consent to this recording and transcription.
