System Operations Engineer

Akamai Technologies

• Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the various application servers, systems. • Recommend/Document System Operations Procedures • Analyzing logs and events from the cloud service to ensure smooth service operation. • Participating in on-call rotation (24x7 team) with other members of the System Engineering team.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in Production support
  • Good to have experience in Cloud platform, Kubernetes
  • Good to have experience/knowledge on Ansible/Terraform/Chef
  • Be experienced with monitoring and analytics tools such as Prometheus, Sensu
  • Proficiency in Systems Administration in Linux preferably Ubuntu
  • Be experienced with any scripting knowledge preferably bash/Python
  • Good Understanding of Network protocols such as DNS/HTTP/TCP/IP
  • Good understanding of AI/ML, specifically Agentic AI, MCP etc.
