We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. Our Solution Engineering organization is seeking a Sr. RVP of Solution Engineering to lead a high-caliber pre-sales team focused on driving expansion within our premier Retail and Consumer Goods accounts. In this role, you will act as a second-line leader, managing a team of SE Managers and partnering with Sales leadership to navigate complex RCG sales cycles. You will lead a team that translates technical capabilities into value-based retail scenarios using demonstrations, POCs, and pilots to accelerate revenue and consumption. Reporting to the VP, Solution Engineering, you will play a hands-on role in building a team of sales engineers and owning the revenue and consumption responsibilities for the group. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO: - Build and lead a team of sales engineers and SE managers who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation, and education experts for global retailers and CPG brands. - Coordinate cross-functional dotted line resources to achieve team goals while ensuring technical alignment with regional retail requirements. - Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota and consumption targets by ensuring our platform becomes the backbone of the customer’s retail tech stack. - Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy and industry-specific product gaps, representing the team’s needs to executive staff regarding market trends like retail media networks and sustainable supply chains. - Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing, and services to ensure the roadmap addresses the unique latency and scale requirements of global commerce. - Play an active role bringing in top-tier industry talent. - Act as a player/coach working with your team on delivering compelling presentations to C-suite retail stakeholders and prospects. - Innovate and implement strategies that will uplevel your team’s skills in consultative selling and industry-specific technical architecture. ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: - 15+ years of industry experience in a sales or pre-sales capacity, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing and mentoring high-performing teams within the Retail or CPG verticals. - Strong technical knowledge of Cloud Computing, SaaS Solutions, and the integration of diverse retail data sources like ERP, CRM, and MarTech. - Solid understanding of SQL database ecosystems and their integration with cloud platforms to support high-volume retail transactions. - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations to both technical and executive stakeholders—whether on a whiteboard, through live demos, or formal presentations. - Consultative sales approach with the ability to understand complex business challenges—like holiday peak scaling or omnichannel attribution—and map them to cloud data platform solutions. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Strong strategic thinking, with a deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and the ability to manage complex deals from initial discovery to close. ABOUT OUR TEAM: Our Solution Engineers are customer-obsessed and we believe in the unique business value we add to the consumer experience. In the fast-moving world of retail, we value both transparency and uncompromising integrity. We love to learn, are open to giving and receiving feedback, and are passionate about making our clients successful. Our team works to ensure data is accessible, usable, and valuable to everyone, from the warehouse floor to the corporate boardroom.
