Job Description

Senior FinOps Consultant

ProsperOps

• Serve as the FinOps subject matter expert for our customer base — answering complex questions about cloud rate optimization, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and the ProsperOps platform • Lead onboarding and implementation support, bringing new customers up to speed on FinOps concepts and how our platform works • Address ongoing support inquiries and ad hoc customer requests quickly and accurately • Introduce and explain new products and features to existing customers • Partner with the Product team to develop and refine new optimization services that enhance customer discount outcomes • Identify patterns across customer interactions to surface insights that improve our platform and processes

Job Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud FinOps concepts — particularly Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cloud cost & usage data
  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal communication — detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills — you cut through noise, find the signal, and act on it
  • Unafraid of math! Comfort working with numbers, complex billing data, and spreadsheet-based analysis
  • Meticulous attention to details
  • Startup mentality — high integrity, curious, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred)
  • Experience with FinOps tools or platforms (preferred)
  • Background in cloud consulting, technical account management, or customer success in a SaaS environment (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (preferred)
  • Background in finance, accounting, or billing operations in a technology environment (preferred)
