Purpose of Role The Department of Nursing at Daemen University invites applications for an adjunct faculty to teach NUR 317 a 6-credit online course, that encompasses didactic and external learning experiences, in the RN-BS Nursing Program. This position will assume the role of the clinical instructor to oversee the 60- hours of external learning experiences. About This Opportunity Joining our Nursing team, the Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for the following: Enhance critical thinking and clinical reasoning abilities by introducing the student to the application of nursing research and evidence-based practice to contemporary nursing practice. The purpose of this course is to acquaint nursing students with the fundamentals of research methods and to understand the importance of research in practice. Evidence-based practice will be explored as a basis for further development of professional practice. Application of research and the formation of evidence-based practice will be explored in the classroom and external learning experiences. Lecture 60 instructional hours (4 credits); External Learning Experiences, 60 hours (2 credits). Offered in distance education format. $3000 per section Required Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing Current licensure and experience as a Registered Nurse Strong communication and teaching skills Previous teaching or clinical instruction experience preferred.
