Release Engineer II

DICK'S Sporting Goods

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and deployment of software releases across the enterprise • Coordinate software releases across multiple applications within various portfolios • Ensure releases are executed smoothly while balancing competing priorities • Create, maintain, and publish a centralized release calendar • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks to release scope, quality, or schedules • Collaborate closely with development, quality assurance, and product management teams • Measure and monitor progress to ensure timely software delivery

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in release management
  • Experience working with Jenkins, Github actions, containerization
  • Working experience with deployment tooling
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD workflows
  • Understanding of semantic versioning
  • A working understanding of branching strategies
  • Experience with developing workflows for automated deployments
  • Experience building Dashboards to report on Release Metrics
  • Streamlining RM/Deployment Procedures utilizing AI

Responsibilities / What You'll Do: - Work with internal teams to establish network improvement plans - Responsible for driving and influencing senior leadership decision making - Builds and maintains effective working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders - Ability to drive conflict resolution between stakeholders, including senior management and cross functional teams - Conducts network design reviews and processes of various projects and products - Provides technology leadership by working with different teams to deliver solutions - Key decision maker on Network technology - Communicates budget estimates for cross functional projects/programs, and ensures teams execute assigned projects within approved budgets - Responsible for escalating issues and potential roadblocks to management, including making recommendations to address and resolve - Responsible for identifying and mitigating project execution risks - Guides and/or revises project plan to ensure it completely captures all activities and eliminates duplicative efforts - Defines and evangelizes processes, policies and standards across all stakeholders - Proactively seeks continuous improvement opportunities in process/ policies/ standards - Responsible for leading strategic planning, influencing and driving prioritization of initiatives with functional stakeholders - Responsible for developing and communicating a roadmap of projects and initiatives to functional stakeholders Qualifications / Your Background: - 15+ years of experience with planning and design of customer-facing SaaS production data centers with carrier-grade reliability - Strong knowledge of Internet routing protocols and techniques such as BGP, OSPF, ECMP, MPLS. - Expert knowledge and experience with routing protocols and traffic engineering - Expert knowledge and experience VPN encryption technologies, modern switching platforms, and firewalls including policy implementation and capacity management - Working knowledge of Juniper, Arista, and Cisco equipment highly desirable - Proven ability to manage mission-critical, highly visible infrastructure projects to completion. - Experience with low-level infrastructure testing and troubleshooting tools including packet capture devices, network equipment debug and diagnostics, (Wireshark, NetFlow) - Understanding of security-policy implementation details and how to manage design and support of network environments to maintain policy integrity Salary Range or On Target Earnings: Minimum: $194,900.00 Maximum: $426,300.00 In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
