Job Description

Forward Deployed Engineer

RunPod

• Participate in sales meetings with customers, explain Runpod’s specific technologies, provide architectural recommendations, and build proof-of-concept solutions to support onboarding for potential high-spending customers. • Troubleshoot and resolve critical or complex technical issues escalated by customers, including those related to configuration, performance, functionality, compatibility, or code errors in Runpod’s products or services. • Utilize various tools and methods, such as code analysis, scripting for testing, log analysis and remote access, to identify root causes and deliver solutions or workarounds. • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, including engineering, sales, supply and product management teams, to ensure customer satisfaction and integrate valuable feedback. • Assist the support team in troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical tickets, collaborate with the engineering team to provide workarounds or bug fixes, and work with the infrastructure team to address GPU server-related issues. • Contribute to product development and testing efforts by relaying feedback from customers and the support team to the engineering team, helping to shape product improvements. • Create and maintain technical documentation, such as knowledge base articles, FAQs, guides, and manuals, while also developing and delivering training sessions, webinars, and demos for customers, partners, and internal teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field) or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with applied AI use cases such as inference, fine-tuning, LLM-based applications, or agentic systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Located in the APAC region (Ideally in Malaysia, Singapore or South Korea)
  • Successful completion of a background check.

AKS) for AI workloads. - Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform (modules, environments, CI/CD automation). - Support LLM workflows: RAG, agents, prompt experimentation, evaluations, and deployment patterns. - Integrate and operate tooling such as Azure AI Foundry, LiteLLM, Langfuse, MLflow. - Orchestrate pipelines using Kubeflow Pipelines and/or Argo Workflows (build, deploy, evaluate). - Improve platform reliability and observability (monitoring, logging, tracing, cost/perf signals). - Collaborate closely with developers to streamline DX (APIs, templates, docs, golden paths, automation). Requirements - Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production (preferably AKS). - Solid Terraform expertise (IaC best practices, multi-env setups). - Practical experience supporting ML/LLM workloads in a platform or DevOps/MLOps context. - Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and supporting APIs/evaluation tooling. - Understanding of CI/CD, release processes, and production-grade operations. - Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver pragmatically. Nice to Have - Experience building internal developer platforms or “paved roads” for engineering teams. - Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks, prompt testing workflows, and LLM observability. - Exposure to RAG architectures, vector databases, and agentic patterns. - Experience with Kubeflow, Argo, and ML lifecycle tooling.
