Underwriting Assistant

• Establish new submission in the clearance system and handle according to established procedures • Assist Underwriters with quote, binder, and policy issuance workflows • Gathers and organizes information and reports (e.g., loss runs, risk assessments, and loss ratings) that support the underwriting decision. • Assist the Underwriter with the computation of rates and premiums. • Review incoming insurance applications for accuracy and completeness • Participate in the creation and development of the team's underwriting workflows and processes, including underwriting files for all bound accounts • Work with and follow up with producers for any outstanding information • Process and distribute insurance binders, endorsements and polices within processing standards established by management • Prepare all policies in accordance with final binders inclusive of review by underwriting staff • Manage all account documentation
