RC4Vets is seeking a 508-compliance tester to support Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Services to ensure digital accessibility by conducting assessments of websites, applications, and documents. Employing both automated and manual tools for testing, you will identify and report accessibility barriers, providing comprehensive recommendations for remediation. You will collaborate with developers and designers, to address issues and integrate accessible design principles staying abreast of evolving accessibility standards, offering training sessions and maintaining documentation of testing processes.Strong ability to multitask and ability to switch between testing various systems quickly. This is a remote role. Responsibilities Manual testing of integrations, interfaces, data transfers, APIs (Application Protocol Interfaces). End-to-End Software Testing Life Cycle from testing, defect logging and verification of closure of defects Creating Test Plans, Test Cases, executing Test Scripts, Data Verification and Validation. Thorough understanding of integration requirements and mapping to user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases. Using JIRA for maintaining sprint test artifacts Analysis of Test results, Defect management and reporting Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal and external project stakeholders. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision. Qualifications 3-5 years of work experiencein Manual, Integration, and Functional Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical related discipline Excellent communication & analytical and investigation skills Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools and software, such as JAWS and NVDA Knowledge Understanding of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and other relevant accessibility standards. Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive strategies. Knowledge of web development technologies and their impact on accessibility. Required Skills and Experience Integration & Interface Testing experience Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment.
