• Being accountable for technical decisions that your team makes, by either making the decision by yourself or reviewing and approving the decisions made by your team members. • Driving your team and project to maximize the outcome of the team in a timely manner under a very dynamic and agile environment. • Growing your team members by giving them incrementally more challenging assignments and ongoing coaching. • Creating a psychologically safe environment across the company beyond your local team.
Job Requirements
- At least three of the followings:
- Skilled in optimizing collaboration and operations by implementing engineering processes or tools
- Experienced in assessing team members' performance in collaboration with executives and other managers, and determining their rewards, such as annual bonuses
- Experienced in nurturing team members through effective coaching and mentoring support
- Experienced in setting team priorities or project direction based on customer feedback and/or marketing data
- Experienced in writing tech blogs for public audiences or conducting public speeches to share insights and expertise
- Experienced in managing an engineering team of more than five members
- Fluent in coding with either C#, C++, Java or Rust
- Business level English
- Passion to create a psychologically safe environment.
- Communication skill to clearly convey your idea to others.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
- Ability to understand both the customer's and engineer's point of view.
- Fluency in Japanese
