Strategic Account Manager – Surgical
Alcon
• Collaborating with key stakeholders at major surgical accounts to understand clinical and operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes. • Managing and expanding strategic relationships with high-value accounts, ensuring alignment on objectives and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer and patient needs. • Leading account planning, including customer development strategies, tactical execution, and performance tracking to achieve commercial targets. • Preparing and negotiating contracts, guiding account-specific initiatives, and contributing strategic insights on market potential and competitive dynamics. • Organizing customer events, educational programs, and professional engagements (independently or with marketing/medical teams) to strengthen adoption of Alcon technologies. • Contributing to public tender engagement by shaping tender strategies, coordinating cross-functional input, and helping ensure Alcon’s competitive positioning throughout the full tender lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- Professional experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or eye-care–related medical devices.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex customer relationships and achieving sales or growth targets.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities and the ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and customer data.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and structured account planning.
- Strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working autonomously across two countries.
- Fluent in Finnish and Swedish to effectively support customers in both markets.
