Job Title: Supplier Lead, Commercial Aircraft Reporting To: Manager, Supply Chain Work Schedule: Fully Remote – Dublin, IRLThe Supply Chain Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our supply base. Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers, this role is responsible for building strong partnerships, driving operational excellence, and supporting the needs of all Moog sites. This is a 100% remote position, combined with significant exposure to suppliers and Moog teams across the region. The role requires regular travel (50%+) to supplier locations and occasional visits to Moog sites. We are looking for a proactive, relationship‑driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, global environment and is passionate about delivering results through collaboration and supplier engagement. Key Responsibilities Supplier Relationship & Performance Management - Develop and manage strong, effective relationships with assigned suppliers to meet business and operational requirements. - Lead the ongoing surveillance and monitoring of supplier performance. - Evaluate supplier capability, identify risks, and drive mitigation plans. - Support and, when required, lead supplier performance recovery and improvement initiatives. - Provide regional support for supplier selection, supplier development, and new product introduction (NPI). Operational Excellence & Issue Resolution - Ensure accurate and timely purchase order management using standard systems and processes. - Expedite supplier deliveries when needed to support site operational requirements. - Lead problem‑solving activities to address issues impacting supplier relationships or supply chain performance. - Ensure timely closure of root‑cause analyses and corrective actions. - Identify and pursue opportunities to improve quality, cost, delivery, and lead time. Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work closely with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams across multiple regions and time zones. - Influence and collaborate effectively across different cultures and functions to meet global supply chain performance goals. - Provide regional insights to support supply chain planning and strategic decision‑making. Compliance, Communication & Travel - Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers. - Maintain strong understanding of contractual requirements, business systems, and procurement processes. - Travel regularly (50%+) to visit suppliers within the region, with occasional travel to Moog sites globally. Qualifications & Experience Required - Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. - Up to 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or engineering (Aerospace preferred). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to lead complex supply chain activities. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. - Strong negotiation skills and understanding of procurement and contractual law. Preferred - Certifications in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Program Management. - Master’s degree in Business or Engineering. - Engineering or technical background. - Project or Program Management experience.
