Job Description
System Administrator
Soluna
• Manage our Proxmox deployments, manage backup systems, and improve observability. • Manage our deployed operating systems, primarily Ubuntu but including FreeBSD and Windows. • Improve observability of our control system and network infrastructure. • Improve the security posture of our facilities. • Work with software and network engineers to reduce manual work required for configuration and deployment of our systems via automation. • Train on-site technicians to perform regular maintenance on deployed equipment. • Improve the software test environment (miniMaestro) deployment in order to streamline the software test process. • Visit our sites occasionally for stand-ups and maintenance as necessary (<5%).
Job Requirements
- Experience in our stack (Proxmox, Ubuntu, FreeBSD)
- Experience working remotely via on-site technicians.
- Network and OS security experience.
- Experience or desire for experience in site reliability engineering.
- Experience in virtualization (VMs and container technologies).
