Your Opportunity, Your Team The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer supports QVC Japan serving as the primary engineering and administrative lead for critical cybersecurity tools while acting as the key liaison between QVC Japan and the global cybersecurity organization. This role is a pivotal contributor to ensuring cybersecurity enables business growth through strong engineering practices, automation, and continuous improvement. Where You’ll Work This role is remote; job seekers must reside in Japan to be considered. This role may require you to be on site at our Makuhari, Chiba office as needed. What You’ll Do - Act as the primary cybersecurity engineering contact for QVC Japan, partnering closely with the global cybersecurity team - Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise cybersecurity tools, including: - Password Management (vaulting and access troubleshooting) - CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) - EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) - DLP (Data Loss Prevention) - WAF (Web Application Firewall) - Respond to incident tickets and cybersecurity inquiries from Japan-based teams, escalating to global subject-matter experts and partners when required - Identify and implement opportunities for automation and continuous improvement across cybersecurity domains - Support vulnerability management, third-party vendor risk assessments, data protection initiatives, and cybersecurity architecture efforts - Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, including PCI DSS and SOX What You’ll Bring - 3–5 years of experience in a senior cybersecurity engineering role or closely related position - Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise cybersecurity platforms (Password Management, CASB, EDR, DLP, WAF) - Working knowledge of vulnerability management, incident response, third-party vendor risk, data protection, and cybersecurity architecture - Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English Preferred but not required: One or more cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CompTIA Security+) Our Total Rewards package includes benefits you’ll love such as competitive compensation, paid time off, an employee assistance program, parental leave, paid volunteer hours, and amazing company discounts!
