Senior Manager, Account Management

FORWARD Platform

• Identifies, tracks, and responds to new opportunities in California by leveraging existing relationships, developing new relationships, and acting as a trusted business partner to public sector customers. • Manage an opportunity lifecycle (prospecting, qualifying, developing, and negotiating contracts to close). • Responsible for mentoring a diverse team to achieve collaborative wins. • Ensures that prospect information is tracked and leads are generated. • Guides the team in creating pitch decks and proposals for customers. • Maintain close ties with existing customers during fulfillment conversations to support their work. • Identify and propose pilot programs for customers, designing playbooks for successful programs, and facilitating handoffs to the Operations Team. • Act as a member of the Growth leadership team and oversee a team focused on growth of business in California. • Responsible for hiring, training, providing feedback and mentoring team members.

Job Requirements

  • Strong ties and relationships in California, especially amongst policymakers, city and county leaders, and/or other advocacy organizations
  • Public sector experience preferred
  • 6+ years B2G sales and/or account management experience preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence government agency partners
  • Strong discovery and presentation skills - ability to effectively identify and understand customer needs and connect needs to business opportunities
  • Highly solution-oriented
  • Creative problem solving
  • Ability to take the initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize workload
  • Eager to be part of a team that puts a premium on assuming best intentions and giving one another grace
  • Salesforce experience preferred but not required.

Job Category The Sr. Account Manager for our QRP platform is responsible for owning and growing key client relationships, driving performance, and ensuring long-term success across the program. Responsibilities - Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing relationships and communication - Monitor and analyze performance metrics (volume, conversion, revenue) and provide actionable recommendations - Lead client calls, QBRs, and strategy sessions - Troubleshoot and resolve client issues, escalations, and integration challenges - Partner cross-functionally with Media, Product, Sales, Biz Dev, Project Management, and Onboarding teams - Identify and drive growth opportunities, including upsell and expansion - Coordinate new launches, enhancements, and timelines - Align internal teams on prioritization and execution of client needs - Track and communicate revenue, forecasting, and performance trends - Drive client success, retention, and long-term growth Requirements - 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, or Sales (preferably in a tech-enabled or performance-driven environment) - Experience working with APIs, integrations, or technical products (preferred) - Strong understanding of performance metrics, revenue models, and optimization strategies - Proven ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced environment - Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Operations teams - Excellent communication and presentation skills (client-facing and executive-level) - Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to execute - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratch The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 USD to $135,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units.
