BESS Business Development Manager
FlexGen
• Cultivating relationships with utilities, power producers, investment funds, developers, asset owners, and channel partners • Evaluating, defining & executing business development strategies • Assessing and originating utility-scale storage project sales across Finland and Sweden • Developing and executing outreach strategies with major market players and prospective customers • Leading the preparation of commercial and technical solutions for FlexGen customers and business partners • Travel to customers and project sites (~60%)
Job Requirements
- A track record of distributed energy project development or providing software and solutions to support BESS portfolios
- Cultivating relationships with utilities, BESS asset owners, BESS developers, and channel partners
- Assessing and originating utility-scale storage project sales across Finland and Sweden and other European countries
- Experience with electric power, renewable energy (solar, wind, battery), industrial communication, or electrical service
- Ability to effectively communicate in formal and informal settings
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Minimum degree level qualification in engineering or technical field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience, with at least 2 years in sales or business development
- Exposure to commercial energy negotiations, electricity market/resource planning analysis, and/or new market entry strategy preferred
- Customer management experience
- Exposure to power industry, battery storage, power converters, power system design, and/or battery energy storage controls or ecosystem software
- High proficiency with Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software
