Role Description The primary objective of the consultancy is to update the MENA Country Factsheets to incorporate the latest available indicator values from regional and global databases including the SDGs. The consultancy will also support the preparation of regional key facts on each goal area in the new Strategic Plan and contribute to the development of plans for consolidating regional data assets between MENARO and ECARO. Data hold more potential than ever to shape children’s lives and living conditions. They are an essential public good to inform and assess the effectiveness of policy, programming and advocacy to advance the realization of children’s rights. The Data Warehouse contains time-series data for over 150 indicators, covering various child rights and well-being domains and disaggregated by sex, urban/rural residence and wealth quintiles where possible. In 2027, UNICEF’s MENA and Europe and Central Asia (ECA) regional offices will be consolidated into a new broader region covering 39 programme countries.
