Territory Manager – Flooring Stores
Urban Surfaces
• Visit assigned retail stores and flooring showrooms regularly to build and maintain relationships with retail staff. • Train retail sales associates and store managers on Urban Surfaces product lines, unique selling points, and installation options. • Ensure in-store displays are clean, updated, and well-merchandised to drive product visibility and sales. • Coordinate with the marketing team to deliver and maintain POP (point-of-purchase) materials and promotional displays. • Provide hands-on product demos and mini trainings to store teams. • Influence sell-through by educating retail associates and promoting preference for Urban Surfaces among customers. • Track and report store visits, display compliance, and sales opportunities using CRM or field reporting tools. • Serve as the point person for showroom product performance feedback, inventory issues, and display updates. • Attend local retail events, promotions, or open houses to support partner stores and promote brand awareness. • Collaborate with Regional Sales and Product teams to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives. • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly territory sales targets.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in retail, showroom, or field-based sales (flooring industry preferred).
- Strong presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a territory with minimal supervision.
- High energy, outgoing personality, and strong customer service orientation.
- Proficient in mobile communication tools, CRM entry, and reporting apps.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required.

• Drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts • Retain existing accounts and expand opportunities with current customers • Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area • Share market insights and competitor information • Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs • Attend monthly business meetings and engage in local trade shows • Resolve missing/incomplete information in complex research/data
