Solutions Specialist

Smartly

Role Description The Solutions Specialist solves operational and technical workflow challenges by designing, building, and maintaining scalable automations and custom solutions within the Smartly platform and Google Apps Script environment. This person partners with internal teams and clients to translate business requirements into reliable workflows, scripts, integrations, and platform configurations that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. In the first 12 months, this hire will be accountable for reducing manual work, improving implementation quality and stability, and expanding regional delivery capacity through faster, more standardized technical solutioning. They will also help strengthen troubleshooting, QA, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team. - Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to understand business, workflow, and technical requirements. - Translate requirements into technical specifications, Smartly configurations, scripts, automations, and scalable process improvements. - Build, test, deploy, and maintain Smartly workflows, templates, rules, and custom automations. - Develop and optimize Google Apps Script solutions for data processing, validation, reporting, and operational efficiency. - Research, design, and implement bespoke solutions using APIs, JSON-based data flows, and scripting to solve customer use cases. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across scripts, APIs, integrations, and Smartly workflows, including cases with incomplete or ambiguous information. - Perform QA and monitoring to ensure reliability, performance, stability, and appropriate error handling of custom implementations. - Document bugs, implementation details, and best practices, and contribute to internal tools, documentation, and scalable team knowledge sharing. Qualifications - Proficiency in JavaScript and Google Apps Script. - Experience working with APIs, JSON structures, and data workflows. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills in automation or API-driven environments. - Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and scalable workflows. - Strong verbal and written English communication skills. - Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Structured, logical problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail and quality assurance. - Willingness to work flexible hours to support global or cross-regional collaboration. - Familiarity with Smartly platform workflows, templates, and rules. - Experience supporting integrations with Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, DV360, or Campaign Manager 360. - Familiarity with Git, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team to help onboard and support customers using Platform9 Managed OpenStack and Platform9 Managed Kubernetes products. As a Solutions Architect, you will be the key technical contact for our customers, guiding them through their journey of adopting and scaling with our cloud native platforms.
