Job Overview: The Engineer would be involved in developing PRASE scripts based on the specifications provided. This role would involve working very closely with the business analysts (more in a pair programming mode) Roles and Responsibilities: - Extensive and demonstrable experience (at least 5 years in relation to: - Developing Perl / Python scripts - Working with customers, Business analysts in understanding the business requirements. - This would also involve creating documentation around scripts - Estimating the effort required to build the scripts - Identifying opportunities to meet customer business objectives using business logic and configuring applications to meet those objectives - Experience implementing North American Life & Annuity products on Policy Administration systems is a plus - Knowledge of Group and Individual North American L&A markets a plus Skills / Attributes Required: Conceptual understanding of Object-Oriented Programming. - Basic database queries - Programming experience in Java or any other programming language (ability to write business logic). - HTML - CSS - JavaScript - API Integrations - Understanding NFRs and performance considerations Desirable skills: - Experience on Life, health, Annuity or supporting those products Behavioral Skills: - Positive attitude - Good communication - Teamwork and adaptability - Analytical thinking and problem solving - Flexibility Domain Exposure: - Insurance knowledge of P&C and/or L&A
