Business Development Manager

LMR Technical Group

• The Capture Manager will oversee the development and growth of profitable new business, develop, and maintain effective key customer relationships, and ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities. • The Capture Manager may also act as the proposal manager. • Primary duties include identifying, developing, driving, and winning new and re-competing business opportunities. • The Capture Manager will build and maintain successful relationships with prospects and existing clients and collaborate with executives on the business strategy to determine objectives. • The Capture Manager will participate in business development meetings, capture activities, industry events, networking activities, and other outreach and marketing activities. • The Capture Manager will maintain a business development pipeline; direct, coordinate and conduct bid strategies; develop kick-off slides, write proposals, conduct market research, evaluate current business performance, and make recommendations for process improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Seven (7) or more years of Business Development experience in the DoD/Federal Markets.
  • Proven Business Development success across wide variety of customers and capabilities.
  • Experience managing proposal process, including developing and writing proposals.
  • Experience using Federal Compass, GOVWIN, or BGOV
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in business administration, finance, management, or closely related field.
  • Detailed understanding of the industry in order to be conversant in the terminology, policies, organizational structure, etc.
  • Must have the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job.
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills.
  • Able to complete multiple tasks efficiently, independently, and correctly.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Key Responsibilities: 1. Contact by telephone current apheresis and/or whole blood donors to recruit for donation, following a process and appropriate script and escalating difficult calls to senior colleagues. 2. Schedule appointments to ensure maximum number of donors are scheduled each day. 3. Maintain daily production standard, including phone calls and appointments per hour. 4. Develop a working knowledge of donor criteria to inform donors of eligibility and reduce deferral rates. 5. Maintain accurate records of donors/groups contacted and appointments scheduled to avoid errors, poor customer relations and to ensure sufficient donor availability. 6. Provide support, guided by senior colleagues, to help fixed site recruitment manager develop new leads and implement new donor recruitment programs to ensure an increased donor base and an adequate blood supply. Pay Rate: Starting rate $16.00-16.50 per hour (possibly more for areas with a higher cost of living). Schedule: Sunday 9:00AM - 5:30PM, Monday through Wednesday 10:00AM - 6:30PM & Thursday from 9:00AM - 5:30PM Pacific time. Training: Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule for the first 4-6 weeks of training. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: High School or equivalent required. Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred. Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team. Computer experience, excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required. Effective verbal communication skills, the ability to work with potentially difficult customers, and work in a fast-paced environment is required. *Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
