Role Overview We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities. This role plays a key part in transaction processing, reconciliations, and monthly close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working remotely. Key Responsibilities - Record and post daily financial transactions, including journal entries, vendor invoices, cash receipts, and expense reports - Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and resolve discrepancies - Support the monthly close process, including accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries - Maintain accurate and organized financial records to ensure audit readiness - Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes - Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to ensure proper expense coding and timing - Prepare supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts - Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports - Support audits and provide documentation to external auditors and tax advisors - Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or project-based experience is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Experience with job costing or project accounting
  • Exposure to multi-entity or multi-state environments
