Technical Project Manager – Custom Software Consulting

• Own end-to-end delivery of custom software projects from discovery through build, launch, and post-delivery support. • Serve as the primary day-to-day client lead, independently managing relationships, expectations, and communication across stakeholders. • Build and maintain client trust through clear ownership, consistency, and sound judgment. • Lead client discussions related to scope, timeline, delivery trade-offs, and execution approach. • Translate business and technical requirements into executable delivery plans, milestones, and workstreams. • Partner with engineers and architects to manage technical dependencies, integrations, and system constraints. • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and trade-offs, and drive resolution with a clear point of view. • Manage scope, schedule, and delivery health, escalating material risks with context and recommended paths forward. • Support Agile delivery practices including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and release coordination. • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, standards, and client engagement practices.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelors' degree in a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical project management, delivery management, or software consulting roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading client-facing delivery independently.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client trust through consistent execution and communication.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and its application in custom software delivery.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams on technical delivery and system design considerations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead difficult or ambiguous client conversations.
- Ability to operate independently, make informed decisions, and manage ambiguity.
- Experience with delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
