Job DescriptionAs a QA Engineer for our backend systems, you will be a hero behind the scenes, ensuring that the critical data flowing through our ecosystem is accurate and reliable when it matters most. You will not just "test code"; you will safeguard the integrity of communications that save lives. In this impact-driven role, you will: - Design and execute sophisticated API test cases that validate business logic and functional performance - Collaborate with engineering teams within an Agile framework to drive continuous testing and remove "haystacks" of data, leaving only the "needles" of actionable intelligence - Safeguard our systems by identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring that every request and response meets the highest standards of data integrity - Automate testing solutions within our CI/CD pipelines to ensure that our technology remains resilient in the harshest conditions - Mentor fellow team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and shared accountability for the safety of our customers. Basic RequirementsBasic Requirements - 4+ years of professional experience in Test Analysis with a dedicated focus on API testing - Advanced English Proficiency (Written and verbal) - 2+ years of professional experience in development using C# or other object-oriented programming languages - Experience in designing, developing, and automating API test cases using industry-standard tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RESTful services - Proven ability to work within an Agile and Scrum environment - Experience using Git for version control Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves) - Exposure to Security testing, including authorization vulnerabilities and sensitive data exposure - Knowledge of Load and Performance tools such as k6, JMeter, or Gatling - Experience with Azure DevOps for Test Management and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments - Certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level, Agile Testing, or Advanced Test Analyst - Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Travel RequirementsUnder 10% Relocation ProvidedNone Position TypeExperienced Referral Payment PlanYes CompanyMotorola Solutions South Africa (Proprietary) LimitedEEO Statement Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer. As part of the Compose Multiplatform team, you will: - Work closely with various desktop (Linux, Windows, macOS), iOS, and web technologies. - Collaborate with developers on exploratory testing of the framework’s platform-specific features. - Conduct integration testing of important user scenarios with particular attention to the corner cases. - Search for and pinpoint bugs, submitting the results to our issue tracker and performing regression tests for code fixes. - Take part in product planning, including creating plans for testing the proposed changes. - Work on the automation of integration tests from the point of view of both Compose API users and the end users of applications built with Compose Multiplatform.
