Partner Account Manager – DACH

• Development and implementation of a well-considered partner strategy for the DACH region, including identifying, acquiring and onboarding new partners. • Building and continuously developing long-term, trust-based relationships with existing partners. • Supporting partners in business development, pipeline generation and market development with the aim of sustainable revenue growth. • Planning and executing joint business plans, regular partner reviews, and defining and tracking clear goals and KPIs. • Enabling partners through training, workshops, sales and marketing support in close collaboration with presales, marketing, sales operations and other internal teams. • Managing and coordinating sales opportunities together with partners — from lead generation to successful close. • Representing the company at partner events, trade shows and industry conferences.

Job Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in partner management at a vendor/manufacturer — ideally in the IT or security space.
  • Experience in building and developing channel partners, resellers or system integrators.
  • Confident handling of complex, solution-selling products (e.g., software, cloud or hybrid solutions).
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong operational execution skills and a structured way of working.
  • Experience with modern CRM and sales tools, as well as partner-focused go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and proven negotiation skills at executive level.
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification, plus a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Very good written and spoken German and confident English skills for international collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region for partner meetings and events.

The Public Partnerships Division (PPD) within the Partnership and Innovation Department (PI) supports organization-wide efforts to meet the resource needs at corporate and country levels through active engagement with governments and public sector institutions. Within PPD, the Thematic Team (GPC-T) advances the Changing Lives Agenda through systematic and strategic fundraising for thematic and development activities. GENERAL INFORMATION: - City and Country of assignment: Remote Support - Hiring Unit: Thematic Team (PPD-T) - Hiring Division: Public Partnerships Division (PPD) - Supervisor Role: Partnership Officer - Working arrangement: In-Person/hybrid - Duration of assignment: 6 months (flexible) - Expected Starting Date: June 2026 - Number of available positions: 1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the Thematic Team, the candidate will be given the following responsibilities: - Contribute to the development of key products of the Thematic Team, including donor intelligence gathering and donor event organization. - Support the rollout of donor engagement plan in key thematic areas, including climate, resilience building and other areas. - Support the development and review of communication products for the Thematic Team, including reports, presentations, briefs, webpages, social media channels and other materials. - Be the liaison person with the communication colleagues working on key thematic topics within the Programmes and Operation Department (PO) and Communications and Media Department to collect communication and information materials for strategic distribution with donors and partners. - Produce communication and advocacy materials for key events where donor engagement opportunities take place, such as UN General Assembly, COPs, G7 and other relevant international conferences. - Undertake desktop research for reporting purposes and outreach activities. - Support the compilation of inputs into briefing notes, and format / edit according to the proposals. - Be a valuable team member of the Thematic Team and contribute to other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: - Be a Master's student or a graduate in public affairs, international relations, communications or related fields from a recognized university; - Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C). Working knowledge of another official UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian plus Portuguese) is an asset. - Prior experience in climate change, climate finance, and engagement in COP processes is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of effective social media use for advocacy and outreach is essential. - Strong analytical skills, advanced drafting/writing skills are essential. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. - Ability to set priorities and maintain high quality outputs within given deadlines. - Desire to build up learning about WFP’s mission and programmes.
