Technical Product Manager
Tailor
• Drive delivery for Omakase work streams, ensuring teams have clear requirements and priorities • Write and maintain Product Requirements Documents that set a high bar for clarity and async communication • Coordinate across AU, JP, and US teams - running rituals, unblocking dependencies, and keeping work moving • Balance competing priorities and resources across multiple teams and stakeholders • Extract learnings from customer-facing teams and feed insights back into the product roadmap • Engage directly with customers when needed to understand requirements and gather feedback • Build deep understanding of the Omakase roadmap - the why and what behind each module and capability • Shape the async communication culture for AU teams, establishing patterns others will follow • Work directly with our CEO and Head of Apps and Integration as well as our Engineering leadership in crafting the specifications and requirements of Omakase ERP modules
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management or technical program management
- Appetite to run rituals and drive delivery cadence across teams
- Strong track record coordinating work across distributed teams and timezones
- Excellent written communication - you can distill complex requirements into clear, actionable documents
- Comfortable negotiating trade-offs and making prioritization calls with incomplete information
- You have good product taste - you may not write code, but you know quality when you see it
- Experience in ecommerce, operations, or enterprise software domains is a plus
- Comfortable working asynchronously across timezones (AU/JP/US). Minimum of 4 hours overlap with the U.S. Pacific timezone every day, where the CEO and forward deployed team are located.

Role Description Energy Exemplar is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our transmission planning products as part of our next generation PLEXOS Energy Analytics platform. - Build and execute on the vision for Energy Exemplar’s PLEXOS platform focused on nodal analysis/transmission planning, with use cases including but not limited to: - Transmission system adequacy - Generation siting and integration - Generation deliverability - FTR/Congestion Analysis - Own the vision and success for our Transmission planning solutions across the Energy Exemplar Product Portfolio. - Build and execute on a strategy aligned to our company goals with a roadmap that communicates key priorities and milestones. - Be responsible for discovering new customer requirements, validating their needs, and integrating these into a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap. - Write detailed requirements including the problem we are solving, a user story, and detailed acceptance criteria. Work with cross functional teams to ensure requirements are well understood including UX, engineering, technical writers, and more. - Collaborate with customers, sales, solution engineering, and internal stakeholders to ensure our products meet current customer needs. - Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and launch plans. Be the champion of your solution. - Engage with sales and prospects to help close opportunities and position the offering effectively. - Ensure successful product adoption by monitoring product performance against key metrics. Adjust tactics/strategy when necessary. Qualifications - Fluent in PSS/E, PowerWorld or similar loadflow applications, including both DC loadflow solutions and AC loadflows. - Knowledge of DC and AC loadflow solutions and the advantages/disadvantages in their application. - Deep understanding of power system economics covering both operational economics and capital investment. - Understanding of Security Constrained Unit Commitment/Economic Dispatch (SCUC/SCED) and production costs, and the factors impacting each. - Understanding of the formation of Locational Market Prices (LMPs) and the factors driving them. - Experience using power flow analyses to develop long term transmission plans in accordance with applicable reliability standards. - Experience in developing and maintaining power flow models, including contingency files, demand updates, new facilities. - Experience using production cost models to simulate system/asset economics under various scenarios. - Experience supporting generation interconnection/retirement analyses. - Ability to translate market insights into requirements. - Strong skills for building requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Outstanding analytical abilities to use data to make recommendations. - Proven customer service skills with ability not just to meet but exceed customer expectations. - Proven ability to lead, manage and work with remote teams. - Ability to influence cross functional teams to obtain buy in, and to see the initiatives to fruition. - Must be a natural leader, go-to person, able to win the respect and trust of their peer group. • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Lightcast data products, platform integrations, and client needs, serving as an expert on how our data is consumed and shared. • Own and manage the backlog by translating product manager requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring the engineering team is unblocked and shipping reliably against roadmap commitments. • Operate and optimize data listings and entitlements across Snowflake Secure Shares/Marketplace, Databricks Delta Sharing/Marketplace, BigQuery Analytics Hub, and S3-based delivery, ensuring new and updated datasets are published within agreed SLAs. • Define and enforce data contracts, including schemas, versioning, and deprecation playbooks, to prevent breaking changes and provide clear migration paths. • Partner with Security, Legal, and Governance teams to bake in compliance related to PII handling, access control, lineage, and auditability, keeping all shares auditable and secure. • Coordinate product launches by owning changelogs, migration notes, documentation, and internal enablement, while also managing incident triage and RCAs for the data shares surface area. • Monitor and evaluate data quality by setting thresholds for freshness, null values, and duplicates, ensuring high standards for customer reliability and trust. • Drive platform expansion by increasing listings, active consumers, and supported platforms quarter over quarter, demonstrating measurable growth in adoption and usage.
