Sourcing Director – Kidswear, Babywear
Quince
• Develop and implement the end-to-end supply chain and sourcing strategy for the Kidswear and Babywear categories, including a multi-sourcing approach to ensure resilience. • Onboard new manufacturing partners to the Quince direct-to-consumer (D2C) model and provide coaching on operating within a rapid replenishment, M2C (Manufacturer-to-Consumer) environment. • Educate partners on the Quince Operating System (OS), covering: • Operational Excellence: Fostering rapid lead times and a consumer-oriented approach. • Financial Model: Achieving high Return on Invested Capital (ROIC). • Technical Integration: Proficient use of the Vendor Portal. • Drive continuous improvement to achieve key performance indicators: • Quality: Defect rate less than 0.5%. • Speed & Accuracy: Replenishment Lead Time under 14 days. • Availability: In-stock rate exceeding 99%. • Financial Impact: Margin-accretive performance. • Lead Catalog Expansion in collaboration with Merchandising and Product Development (PD) teams, successfully launching new styles and colors approved through the New Product Creation (NPC) process. • Conduct structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with the management of each partner, focusing on strategic alignment, business performance highlights, identified areas for improvement, and future objectives.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of Strategic Sourcing or Procurement, or Supplier Management experience operating with major US-based retailers.
- Deep set of partner factory connections within kids&baby apparel category across the APAC region
- Product obsessed with experience in leveraging factories/vendor expertise to design, cost engineer, and bring products to market. With thorough Knowledge of Key Material localized in the region
- GM mindset with a supply chain background and manufacturing (lean/ JIT) experience
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem- solving, improving processes and brand enhancement.
- Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
