Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Removables
Dandy Dental Lab
• Support day-to-day supplier management across key Removables suppliers and workstreams • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable capacity, quality performance, and delivery timelines • Track supplier performance through scorecards and KPI reporting (quality, delivery, cost) • Help drive supplier accountability through structured follow-ups, QBRs, and escalation when needed • Partner with cross-functional teams to address supplier performance issues and mitigate supply risk • Identify sourcing opportunities across Removables to improve total delivered cost and supplier reliability • Support vendor negotiations, RFQs/RFPs, and commercial evaluations • Assist with executing vendor contracts (pricing, scope, terms, and implementation plan) • Own updates to pricing trackers, savings models, and scenario analysis • Lead defined sourcing workstreams end-to-end, with guidance from senior team members (from supplier research → onboarding → launch) • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality to support supplier launches or transitions • Track project milestones, identify risks, and help drive timely execution to launch • Collaborate with upstream demand planning partners on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecasts to inform price negotiations and assess supply chain risks. • Work closely with R&D and Manufacturing during validation/testing to align supplier readiness and procurement timelines • Support materials/supplier changes by ensuring testing requirements, documentation, and operational readiness are aligned • Continuously seek opportunities to improve materials, workflows, processes, and technology, optimizing quality, scale, and efficiency for the product lines and manufacturing operations. • Employ research, partnerships, and critical thinking to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly. • Collaborate with manufacturing to bring outsourced milling processes in-house, ensuring better control and cost efficiency. • This role requires travel 1-2 times per month for both external and internal meetings to support the success of the product line and supplier relationships.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, vendor management, manufacturing operations, or related field
- Experience supporting vendor sourcing programs including RFQ/RFP execution, supplier onboarding, contracting, and performance management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model scenarios and evaluate cost/quality/lead-time tradeoffs
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and drive execution across stakeholders
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Operations, R&D, Finance, Legal, and Quality
- Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
- Clear written and verbal communication skills (comfortable with external-facing supplier communication)
