IT Infrastructure Network Engineer – Junior

• Assist in research, evaluation, and recommendation of networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems. • Assist in designing, configuring, or upgrading local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN). • Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving connection, reliability, or performance issues. • Keep the workroom neat, organized, and secure. • Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. • Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. • Apply basic application management and administration skills with a moderate level of proficiency. • Represent the department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes. • Work within defined ITIL processes such as change and incident management. • Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with Cisco switches/routers, firewalls and related device support.
- Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP familiarity
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of reference lab operations and processes a plus.
- Knowledge and management of System Development Lifecycle Methodologies a plus.
- Experience in maintaining technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
- Goal-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Keenly attentive to detail
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- High level of proficiency with PC-based software programs including MS Office suite, Visio, and project management tools.
