Network Engineer II

• Acts as an escalation point of contact for the Network Administration team, providing advanced technical guidance and issue resolution for complex network incidents and service requests. • Support the integration and deployment of cloud-based networking solutions on platforms such as AWS and Azure, working closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless connectivity and functionality. • Assist in the planning and execution of network expansions, and migrations, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and alignment with business priorities. • Implement and maintain security measures to protect network infrastructure, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Contribute to the development and refinement of network policies and procedures, leveraging industry knowledge and expertise to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. • Participate in network implementation meetings, including interpreting architecture standards and translating approved designs into deployed configurations. • Conduct regular network performance assessments, analyzing metrics and logs to identify trends and potential areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements to support strategic objectives. • Assess and interpret network performance data, drawing actionable insights to support continuous improvement initiatives. • Communicate and articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and contribute to collaborative problem-solving efforts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering roles supporting enterprise or multi-site environments.
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands on enterprise networking experience
- Experience supporting public cloud networking environments, with primary hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure networking services.
- Experience implementing, modifying, and maintaining production network infrastructure across on premises and public cloud environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing technologies.
- Experience executing network changes, upgrades, and migrations in production environments using established change management and operational governance processes.
- Understanding of hybrid networking models, including connectivity between on premises environments and public cloud platforms.
- Proficient understanding of network protocols and technologies, including LAN/WAN technologies, VPNs, VoIP, Load Balancers, and wireless, with experience in managing networks in a multi-site data center environment.
- Proficiency in using network management and monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds, or similar, to support proactive network oversight and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with cloud networking principles and practices, with experience in supporting the deployment and management of Azure networking solutions.
