• Support strategic opportunities showcasing Johnson Controls’ applied systems value proposition • Develop and present technical content for customer sessions, training programs, and industry events • Author technical papers, articles, and manuals for respected industry publications • Maintain comprehensive system and application guides • Research emerging technologies and system applications • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and marketing teams • Review technical documentation for accuracy and alignment with industry standards • Represent Johnson Controls on industry committees

• Translate product ideas, domain concepts, and company vision into durable data models, computation layers, and system contracts that preserve meaning as the platform grows. • Design and evolve foundational data systems end-to-end and hand them off once patterns are established, documented, and safely extensible by other teams. • Guide teams through decisions on data modeling, schema evolution, performance tradeoffs, correctness, observability, AI integration, and scale. • Influence without authority - shaping engineering culture, mentoring senior engineers, and raising the organizational bar through architectural clarity and principled decision-making. • Partner closely with product, CTO, AI/ML, and engineering teams to shape roadmap feasibility and long-term platform direction.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise scale architecture strategy for Business Systems aligned with organizational goals. • Architect scalable systems and integrations across Salesforce, Snowflake, and other core business applications to enable unified data flow and process automation. • Own the integration strategy using Workato and API frameworks to connect GTM and back-office systems efficiently and securely. • Partner with business and data teams to define source-of-truth models and ensure consistent data definitions across platforms and have a good understanding of data governance. • Design and document system architecture, data contracts, and integration patterns to support new initiatives and ongoing enhancements. • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that strengthen the business systems stack, improve data quality, or enhance user experience. • Establish governance standards for APIs, automation, and metadata management to maintain system integrity and scalability. • Lead technical implementation and coordinate with developers and admins to ensure delivery quality, performance, and compliance with enterprise standards. • Collaborate with InfoSec and Compliance teams to uphold security and privacy requirements in system design and data movement. • Oversee the implementation, integration, and upgrades of enterprise business systems (e.g., Salesforce, IronClad, Snowflake, Workato, Gong). • Address system issues promptly and develop long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
