Accounting Specialist Intern – DoD SkillBridge Program

• Support daily accounting operations, including data entry, reconciliations, and journal entries. • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with DCAA and company policies. • Generate financial reports and assist with internal audits and compliance reviews. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data. • Participate in month-end close activities and prepare supporting documentation. • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial processes. • Prepare a final presentation summarizing internship outcomes and recommendations.
Job Requirements
- Prior accounting experience required; familiarity with government or DCAA-compliant environments preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
