Technical Game Designer

- Designing captivating experiences that push the boundaries and deliver innovative gameplay. - Leading the implementation of significant gameplay components from beginning to end, using skills such as Blueprint Scripting, Replication, Sequences, and Replays. - Collaborating closely with design leaders to develop and refine engaging gameplay experiences. - Employing Unreal Blueprint to execute in-game content. - Being the go-to person for complex content implementation that challenges current systems or requires significant input from artists, designers, and engineers. - Iterating, polishing, and balancing gameplay mechanics and systems. - Advocating for an immersive player experience and crafting compelling user stories. - Testing and validating your work on target hardware.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of game design experience, with a minimum of one shipped game.
  • Proven ability to create functional prototypes.
  • Proficiency with visual scripting languages, particularly UE Blueprints (2 years)
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills with an in-depth knowledge of gameplay mechanics and how to create engaging experiences for players.
  • Knowledge of UE Sequencer.
  • 3-5 years working in Unreal
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying design and technical issues, with a willingness to seek assistance when necessary.
  • Technically skilled and capable of working independently in a small team environment as part of a larger team.
  • Experience working on multiplayer games
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Bonus points:**
  • Experience with C++/C#.
  • A diverse skill set is advantageous! As a small team, we value cross-disciplinary skills.
