Accountant
HKR
• Own the full Accounts Payable flow: reviewing supplier invoices, processing payments, matching charges, reconciling statements, and handling supplier inquiries. • Manage Accounts Receivable end-to-end: reviewing and sending invoices, monitoring aging reports, following up on overdue payments, and processing remittances. • Calculate quarterly royalties for licensing partners and artists, generate and send invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate royalty records. • Lead the Month-End Close process with a strong US GAAP mindset, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement updates. • Work daily with QuickBooks, Ramp, Excel, and Airtable to keep financial data clean, accurate, and up to date. • Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, partnering closely with the Finance Lead to spot anomalies and trends. • Support sales tax monitoring and filings across US states, coordinating with external CPAs when needed. • Prepare biweekly payroll for full-time and part-time employees. • Build and maintain financial reports, budget vs. actuals, and spend analyses to support leadership decision-making. • Improve internal workflows by testing automation and AI-powered tools to boost efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a startup or small business environment.
- You’re confident working with US GAAP and understand how it applies to growing companies.
- You’ve used QuickBooks in a real-world setting and feel at home navigating financial systems.
- Excel is your playground: lookups, pivot tables, and clean data don’t scare you.
- You’ve worked with bill pay tools (Ramp, Brex, Bill.com, or similar) — bonus points if you know Ramp.
- You’re comfortable communicating with suppliers and customers about invoices, payments, and documentation.
- Your English is professional and clear, both written and spoken (C1 level or higher).
- You’re organized, proactive, and take full ownership of your work — accuracy matters to you.
- You’re curious about improving processes and excited to experiment with automation and AI tools.
