Role Description Lyrebird is scaling fast, and our Forward Deployed Engineer is how we get complex enterprise integrations across the line. You'll own the technical relationship with hospitals, health systems, and large clinical groups, building the integrations and custom solutions that turn enterprise conversations into signed contracts and live deployments. Most of what you ship will land in the core platform, so your work has lasting impact well beyond any individual deal. This role suits a developer who thrives outside a purely product-focused environment, someone energised by variety, comfortable switching between a pre-sales call and a pull request, and who takes pride in making complex things feel simple for customers. You're as comfortable whiteboarding an architecture as writing the code that implements it. • Lead and execute packaging engineering projects across CPG Food and Beverage categories such as snacks, rigid/flexible foods, refrigerated/frozen foods, beverages, confection, and ready‑to‑eat products • Own the development, qualification, and commercialization of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging components • Lead specification creation, maintenance, and harmonization activities in client systems (PLM, ERP, or digital spec platforms) • Conduct advanced packaging testing including transit simulations, shelf-life studies, barrier performance evaluations, machinability reviews, and line trial validation • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality to drive packaging initiatives from concept to launch • Identify and resolve packaging manufacturing issues, partnering with suppliers and co‑packers as needed • Support or lead sustainability initiatives, including packaging optimization, recyclability improvements, lightweighting, and material consolidation • Drive continuous improvement across packaging processes, documentation, and data governance

• Integrating Kontakt.io with hospital systems such as EHR/EMR, ADT, nurse call, staffing, and operational platforms • Supporting and validating integrations using APIs, HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data exchange methods • Mapping real clinical workflows to system data flows and configurations • Partnering closely with Deployment Project Managers during implementation • Supporting deployment planning, integration testing, go-live, and stabilization • Participating in onsite or remote customer sessions as needed • Acting as a technical bridge between hospital IT, clinical stakeholders, and internal teams • Explaining integration behavior, limitations, and tradeoffs clearly and honestly • Helping customers understand how to operationalize integrations effectively • Diagnosing and resolving integration issues in production environments • Supporting post-deployment optimization and expansion use cases • Documenting integration patterns, risks, and best practices for scale • Providing grounded feedback to Product and Engineering based on field reality • Helping shape integration standards, tooling, and deployment playbooks • Improving repeatability and reducing deployment risk over time

• Develop strategy and execute programs that reduce energy and water consumption, carbon emissions, and costs across manufacturing facilities • Guide utilization of the UMAP platform across facilities • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners and evaluate technologies • Deliver scalable improvements in energy performance and sustainability outcomes • Serve as technical subject matter expert for utilities efficiencies, optimization, and carbon reduction initiatives • Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, guidelines, and best practices • Identify, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies and industry best practices • Promote efficiency improvements in various systems including lighting and water usage • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to engineering, operations, and maintenance teams • Lead and support energy and carbon reduction projects • Conduct cost and benefit analysis for energy‑related needs • Track reduction initiative projects to support long‑term sustainability targets • Plan for metering expansion and support utility metering growth • Quantify energy savings, emissions reductions, and financial impacts of initiatives.
