Job Description

Senior Director, Strategy & Consulting

Wasserman

• Independently lead the development of strategic projects (both brand & rights holder clients) from inception to delivery • Serve as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders, delivering compelling insight-based points of view, presentations and strategic recommendations • Monitor and analyse ongoing sponsorship and market trends • Research and synthesise significant amounts of information, conduct analyses, and develop influential storylines and presentations (e.g. partnership valuations, strategic plans, market landscapes etc.) • Translate complex data and research into clear, actionable narratives that guide decision-making • Use syndicated, proprietary and other tools to research, analyse and extract consumer insights and industry/client data • Utilise proprietary sponsorship valuation and measurement models to inform ROI for clients • Lead the effective project management of allocated projects, determining critical milestones and reporting cadence • Work collaboratively with team members to develop and refine client deliverables, such as presentations, reporting tools, and supporting materials • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with both internal stakeholders and external clients to grow current business portfolio • Support broader Wasserman Global Consulting team on client projects and new business opportunities where appropriate • Help position Wasserman’s strategic capabilities in market, reinforcing our leadership in insight-led marketing

Job Requirements

  • At least 7-9+ years’ experience, including direct knowledge of the sports, music and entertainment landscape from the brand and/or rights holder perspective
  • Fluency in German and English at business competency level is essential
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proven experience influencing senior clients and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities
  • High level of initiative and ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Experience working with data and well-developed analytical problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of consumer behaviour, as well as creativity to build client brands effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, deliver on tight deadlines and seamlessly adapt to ambiguity and changing needs.
