Product Manager, Accessibility

Appspace

• Develop and lead accessibility strategy and execution across the Appspace platform. • Define the accessibility roadmap, make prioritization decisions, and work as a trusted advisor to customers. • Serve as the primary accessibility contact for our largest customers, handling executive-level conversations about compliance requirements, roadmap plans, and barrier remediation. • Develop and prioritize the accessibility roadmap in alignment with WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA and European Accessibility Act (EAA) requirements. • Translate compliance requirements and customer needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams. • Triage accessibility issues reported by users and customers, prioritize remediation, and track progress. • Manage third-party accessibility audits and maintain accurate VPAT/ACR documentation. • Define and track metrics on accessibility performance (defect trends, audit findings, escalations).

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years guiding product, design, and engineering teams on implementing WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, including executive-level interactions about technical accessibility topics
  • Track record managing accessibility in a SaaS or complex software environment
  • Ability to balance compliance requirements with user experience and business needs
  • Strong communication skills – you can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly Desirable:
  • IAAP certification (CPACC, WAS, or CPWA)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with EN 301 549 and Section 508 standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
