• Execute and problem-solve in day-to-day operations for the servicing business • Analyzes escrow sufficiency to ensure escrowed funds are sufficient to make the required payments • Oversee the movement of check/wire funds relating to taxes to ensure timely payment of escrow line items • Ensure timely procurement and accurate processing of property tax refunds • Execute payments for taxes in batch single processing modes by the installment due dates for the particular payee. Payment processing includes tax disbursement to avoid incurring interest or penalties. • Monitor and drive resolution for any delinquent taxes in the loan portfolio • Review control reports to ensure compliance with state, regulatory, and investor guidelines • Liaise between all third-party vendors and ensure escalations are responded to timely and accurate manner • Sets up new taxpayee or makes changes upon request. • Complete various audits for the monthly vendor scorecard • Adhere to SLA standards/deadlines • Making calls to tax authorities and tile companies • Communication with homeowners via email/phone • Lead other escrow responsibilities and projects as assigned by management • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience at a mortgage servicing company within an escrow function or a tax service provider
- Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae servicing experience preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and handle change management in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to collaborate and communicate in regularly held in-person meetings
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent required
