Role Description As a Supervisor, Special Loans & Products, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the Special Products team to ensure processes are completed within compliance, department SLA, and provide outstanding service to our clients and borrowers. Role Description As a Sr. Default Associate within the broader Default Administration team, you will be responsible for processes and procedures related to claims, invoice management, and corporate advances. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong project management skills to assist with and advise on the implementation of processes for reconciliation and recovery that comply with contractual obligations, Valon policies, and regulatory guidelines. In this highly cross-functional role, you will also work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements and deadlines are met. Legal, Risk, Compliance at Valon The Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) team at Valon is responsible for interpreting and advising our company on the various legal, regulatory, and contractual frameworks that impact our work. The LRC team also implements our enterprise risk management program, including through the oversight of third-party relationships. Special Loans at Valon Valon’s Special Loans Team is responsible for managing core business processes for MERS updates and reconciliation, SCRA-protected loans, recasts, assumptions, successor in interest, and partial release requests. About the Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented, deadline-driven Assumptions Processor to join our growing servicing team. In this role, you’ll manage the end-to-end processing of mortgage assumption requests, ensuring compliance with agency guidelines and delivering an exceptional borrower experience. This position requires a strong working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae assumption guidelines, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to manage complex loan scenarios with minimal oversight. About this Role The Sr. Mortgage Underwriter 1 will be responsible for, but not limited to, the underwriting of residential loans through post-close sale/ ensuring compliance with appropriate company and investor guidelines. A Mortgage Underwriter will be responsible for examining loan documentation for accuracy and completeness while working with loan originators, processors, or production staff to secure all required documents. Valon currently originates conventional and FHA loans, and underwriters can expect to be involved in both programs, with the possibility of additional programs being added in the future. You may be required to work with more senior mortgage underwriters or the underwriting manager on loan exceptions, having the authority to withdraw and decline loans.
